Whether its daycare or overnight stay, we focus on enrichment, wellbeing and making every visit feel like a second home to your dog
OUR VENUE
Our purpose built space in Sydney is designed with small dogs in mind. With safe play areas, cozy rest zones, and lots of exciting activities, we've created a home away from home that both stimulating and comfortable for your dog. Every detail of our venue is designed to give your dog the happiest experience possible.

Meet Lisa
FOUNDER OF HAPPY LITTLE HOWLERS
“Hi, I’m Lisa and I’m the owner and founder of Happy Little Howlers.
I’ve always been an animal lover. From rescuing birds thrown from their nest on my horse as a child, to sneaking all sorts of rescue animals into my office job in the city, so I could feed them during the day, as an adult🤫
My greatest love of all though is for Dogs. I’ve owned a lot of dogs in my life and I’ve been lucky enough to have them all live to very old ages. My not so secret passion is rescuing dogs. I currently have 2 Chinese Cresteds but there’s always room for more right?
I started HLH 6+ years ago under the insistence of my husband Johnny. It was meant to be a little bit of fun… a bit on the side. That didn’t last long, because within 6 months I had outgrown my office space and I desperately needed a bigger premises! HLH moved to where it is now and the rest they say is history.
The responsibility of caring for other people’s family members makes me always strive to do better. I try to make every day at HLH as fun as possible for your dogs and for my team.
The best thing about HLH, and what gives me the greatest satisfaction, is growing our amazing dog community. Together we have created one big family.
The gift of sharing all my little howlers with their owners and being so lucky to spend my days with dogs bring me great joy. For that I am forever grateful.
Darcy
Animal Attendant
Darcy has been working with dogs for 3 years and loves working at Howlers. Darcy prides himself on creating positive associations with our dogs and always makes sure our dogs are well looked after. He has loved dogs from a young age and has always dreamed of working with them
Khloe
Animal Attendant
Khloe started at Howlers back in 2021 doing work experience for her TAFE Animal Studies course. She then transitioned to paid employment and has been with Howlers ever since. Khloe enjoys working with all the different breeds we have at Howlers.
Lisa
FOUNDER OF HOWLERS
Lisa has a history in Finance, Human Resources & Business Management. Her passion for animals (in particular Dogs) has led her to start Happy Little Howlers. Lisa has a current Canine 1st Aid Certificate & over 25 years of operational management experience.
Freya
Animal Attendant
Freya has been with Howlers since 2022. She has a certificate 2 in Animal Studies and Certificate 3 in Wildlife and Exhibited Animal Care at Taronga Zoo. Freya enjoys working with dogs and enjoys watching timid dogs become more confident and start to socialise.
Johnny
2IC
Johnny is a Performance Mechanic who runs the JC Racing workshop infront of our location. He is a Drag Racer with a world record & also competes in the Pro Burnout comps held across the country. Johnny is always available to help out when needed and he is adored by all our dogs.
What’s in a name?
Why we are called HAPPY LITTLE HOWLERS 💚
The reason behind our name is, Stripe and Gizmo, Lisas original Chinese Crested Dogs, loved to howl !! ALL THE TIME.
They were litter mate brothers that always put on a show with their howling. So loud, so fun, so happy. Their joy continues everyday here at Howlers, where we strive to let dogs be dogs while having a great time.
We are certain they’re still howling up in heaven 🌈
